As I was singing my child to sleep today, it occurred to me that I really ought to write you a thank-you note. I've been a fan all my life, raised on the Bok, Trickett, and Muir albums.

But it's as a parent that I owe you thanks. I have listened to your recording of "Isle Au Haut" thousands of times, and sung it hundreds more, over the last 7 years. It has the highest success rate of any lullaby I've tried on my two children, and that has been a huge gift. (Also a gift, your performance is good enough that it's still enjoyable, thousands of listens later...)

Thank you!!!

I listened to your albums w/ Gordon Bok, but this evening heard a song you sang w/ The Highwaymen. How can we preserve the best w/o being schmaltzy? Or can we be schmaltzy and sly both?

Hi Annie...emails are the best way for private communication. (I'm having enormous trouble with ADSL so Skype is unreliable, but you will occasionally find me up as flyingtadpole)

Hi Ann,

I love the recording of "Waltzing With Bears" in which the audience sings along. What a great group! Was that pre-arranged or just a super cool audience?

Upward wishes,

John Heiney

My own personal sense of the divine is completely defined and fulfilled by Ann Mayo Muir and Gordon Bok singing the final part of Seal Djirrill's Hymn.

Your voice and the space you create for your voice move me beyond words to express.

Thank you.

Your music has inspired me to purchase my first Irish whistle/flute. Hopefully, I can do it justice, such as you! Congrats on your new album, which I can't wait to hear.

Hi Anni, it would be good if the wonderful song of you in the background would be muted when we watch the video of Christina on YouTube 'cos we have both and it s inaudible.

Hi Ann! As you said, it was lovely to see you again. I had a wonderful time in Philladelphia and New York, visiting friends and family. I decided, whilst on this trip, that I should like to move back to San Francisco rather than stay in Los Angeles any longer. I'm so lonesome in LA. Anyway I hope your trip to southern France to see your husband is delightful and I hope to see you again. Yours always, Lisa ♥

Raza Naqvi is a young surgeon in Pakistan. Not long after first meeting him in line to register at a hotel in Minnesota and talking together in the lobby for an hour, he mentioned that he'd never known a grandmother and he missed having one. I said that I would be honored to be his granny. During the 5 years since then we have had a rich experience learning about one another by phone. His presence in my life is a great gift to me. A more dedicated person to the healing and well fare of others I have never met. I write this to introduce this amazing young man to my friends. My thoughts are with you, Raza !
Love, Annie

No one knows or feels you the way I do and you know it. People mention a lot about how good an artist you are and how wonderful your website is,but all i know is that you are one of the very best human beings i've ever known. To me, you are a priceless entity in my life. And most importantly, you are the best grannie in this whole wide world.I love you in whatever you do.

It is a treat and a privilege to be among the first visitors to Ann Mayo Muir's guestbook. Her artistry makes the world a better place, I'm sure of it. Not everyone can say that. Long live Ann!
